The nice-looking idea that did not fund.
Entry notes
Trick Shot was a basketball challenge card game. We made the box, printed the cards, built a scoring track, took the product photos, and launched it on Kickstarter. The campaign did not fund. I keep it in the log because unsuccessful projects are usually the ones with the clearest notes.

What happened
The Kickstarter did not attract enough support to fund. The game looked finished, but the launch showed that polish and demand were two different things.
The note I kept
Before spending a lot of time making an idea look finished, I now try to find evidence that the underlying idea is actually useful or wanted.
