The shop had geometric cutting and serving boards, small puzzles, and decorative pieces. Most started as one-off ideas before I figured out which ones were practical to repeat.

Etsy Woodworking Shop
The little wood shop I ran during school.

During middle and high school, I put some of my woodworking on Etsy. I made the pieces, photographed them, wrote the listings, packed the orders, and shipped everything from home. Over time the order total passed $10,000.

Making batches
Repeating a design exposed every slow or inconsistent step. I got better at planning cuts, glue-ups, sanding, finishing, and packaging as part of one process.
Everything around the build
The shop also meant taking photos, answering messages, keeping track of orders, buying packaging, printing labels, and getting boxes out the door.
